Re: [plugin] [ORPHAN] bas_lightbox (Thumbnail galery with unobtrusive javascript)

How does one remove or change the “bas Lightbox” label above the image thumbnails?

Never mind, I figured it out.

Now the caption text for each image is being truncated to 20 or so characters. Any way to fix this?

I jumped the gun…I had a quote in my alt text, which was stopping the rendering of that text. I think i found a work around, but it’s not too pretty – http://www.withremote.com/gallery/ is my new url

Re: [plugin] [ORPHAN] bas_lightbox (Thumbnail galery with unobtrusive javascript)

I’ve looked in all posts in this thread but couldn’t find anything about styling bas_lightbox … so, is there a possibility to style let say the top margin of the lightbox?

Here at > http://www.redfoxtestdrive.nl/txp/ the image in the lightbox is to small. In a viewport of 1024 × 768px it is possible to present a larger one … if only I can pull the image towards the top … with CSS of course. How do I have to do that?

Joop, if I’m not mistaken there is a bas_lb04_lightbox.css in the files directory.

Re: [plugin] [ORPHAN] bas_lightbox (Thumbnail galery with unobtrusive javascript)

Oops … now I know that I’ll have to refresh the window of my FTP client to see something in the files folder!

Mmmm … but I can’t get the permissions right! Hint, please … :)

http://img.skitch.com/20080425-qr9ga92djbdatdw5qtc498usx7.jpg

It looks I can change the permissions with Transmit … but when I save the .css after moderation it doesn’t work. And the permissions are back to 644!

Ah … I copied the .css file and replaced the ‘old’ one! Now I can save the file after moderation. Don’t ask me what this is all about!

Re: [plugin] [ORPHAN] bas_lightbox (Thumbnail galery with unobtrusive javascript)

I love this plugin, it is the reason I switched to Textpattern. I just have one problem. When you look at the site, and you scroll down to the bottom and then you click on the thumbnail, a white line appears and slices through the images.

thanks

Er, because of this plugin? These lightbox plugins, like this one plus the hundred others, are just easers that help you to use Lightbox, not makers of the famous lightbox. By easing I mean that it just helps, as you can use Lightbox script without any plugins, with any modern CSM, whatever it’s, TXP, EE or WP ;)

But nice that you chosen TXP over the others, but maybe there is better reasons, like the tag structure :)

The white line appears to be the bottom of your #content div. I tried messing with the margin/padding to no avail. But changing the overflow-x: hidden; to overflow: hidden; got rid of it. Whether that causes other problems elsewhere I couldn’t say.

Re: [plugin] [ORPHAN] bas_lightbox (Thumbnail galery with unobtrusive javascript)

Thank you very much for your help. That has fixed the problem for me.

And as for the comment about “Er, because of this plugin?”

Yes, that is what I meant. I have used lightbox on a drupal site, but it requires the use of editting the html code to display the thumbnails and upload the pictures or something, I forget the details. The point is with Textpattern, the user I am creating the website for has a very simple user interface to control the images and still has the privilege of believing that FTP stands for “Four Tiny People”.
