Damn it!
Alright seems to work again. I got it to work by changing the tmp path for sessions to the server temp path. I changed it back and changed permissions on the local temp path and it seemed to still work, but apparently that was just an illusion. I’ve changed it back to the global temp path and now I can get it.
Let’s see if it sticks.

session cookies are supposed to last forever. I’m not sure if MW changes that. It doesn’t normally last very long for me but I think it resets the cookie every time I create a new account. So YMMV.
