Re: [plugin] [ORPHAN] upm_file_popper: A file picker, for use with upm_file.

Because of the id attributes that it uses for replaced custom fields, glz_custom_fields is incompatible with upm_file_popper. I’ve posted a fix in the glz_custom_fields thread, in case anyone else is having this same problem.

Re: [plugin] [ORPHAN] upm_file_popper: A file picker, for use with upm_file.

Hi Mary, thanks for your great plugins and generous support!

I am running TXP 4.0.6 and have just discovered that the “Attach File” link does not appear in IE6 or Safari (neither Mac nor Win) — only Firefox Mac & Win (and, for what it’s worth, Google Chrome). Have not tested with IE7.

Are you aware of this, and is a fix forthcoming soon?

FYI, I am running the following plugins:

jnm_audio
mg_setheader
rss_unlimited_categories
upm_file
upm_file_popper
upm_image
upm_img_popper

Re: [plugin] [ORPHAN] upm_file_popper: A file picker, for use with upm_file.

Same here.

No show in IE7

The pop-up window does appear in Firefox 3.0.6, but the appropriate file tag is not parsed into any of the write fields when I click the “plus-button”.

Such a shame that file_popper does not work properly… the image_popper is magic!!

I’ll need to take a look at the plugin.

Re: [plugin] [ORPHAN] upm_file_popper: A file picker, for use with upm_file.

Version 0.2.2 now available.

Jim and Mark: I checked, and there was definitely a problem for IE7. That should now be resolved. I tested in Safari on windows, and it appears to work there as well.

Mark: This plugin does not work in exactly all the same ways as upm_img_popper. It inserts the file ID into the custom field that you defined, and not anywhere else. This is because it’s primarily intended as a companion to upm_file (and it relies upon the custom field being used).

Mary, thank you for your quick reply! It’s working perfectly now!!

Re: UPM FILE, I was already wondering how it worked. I guess I will have to try and work this one out another day.

Thanks again!!

Re: [plugin] [ORPHAN] upm_file_popper: A file picker, for use with upm_file.

I have installed and activated both plugins, version 0.2.2 of this and upm_file v. 0.4.1, on a 4.0.7 install with standard custom fields and also on a 4.0.8 patched for glz_custom_fields, and I have chosen a custom field in each case in the upm_file tab.

Now I get this bit of code written in the source HTML

<form action=""><input type="hidden" id="upm_file_popper_start" value=""></form>
<script type="text/javascript" src="index.php?event=upm_file_popper_js&#38;name=link"></script>

so the plugin is doing something, but no popup window appears on the Write page.

I’m sure I’m missing something, but what?

When you say “no popup window”, are you referring to the link that opens a popup window?

Re: [plugin] [ORPHAN] upm_file_popper: A file picker, for use with upm_file.

Sorry for the delay, Mary. I was away from my machine and could not remember the password to log in in the forum…

Yes, when I wrote the above post I could not see the link. After that, it was a “now I see it, now I don’t”. I got to see the link but then I lost some custom fields… Well, to make it short, I believe I was doing something not right with the sed_section_fields plugin and it appended styles “display:none” seemingly at random.

In any case, now it works OK. Thank you for your attention and for all your good work.

Re: [plugin] [ORPHAN] upm_file_popper: A file picker, for use with upm_file.

hi mary,
i just installed upm_file_popper on txp 4.2.0, and in the popup i get:

Notice: Undefined index: file_list_pageby in /home/waldschule/public_html/dynamisch/textpattern/lib/txplib_misc.php(594) : eval()’d code on line 176

and below:

Notice: Undefined index: file_list_pageby in /home/waldschule/public_html/dynamisch/textpattern/lib/txplib_misc.php(594) : eval()’d code on line 315

… in the middle of the popup — it still works though! any ideas, maybe an issue w/ 4.2.0?
cheers,
-f
