Re: upm_file_packets

Re: upm_file_packets
Which is where I ran into problems Niconemo. I did try it but there are several custom fields within the form and I need to ask “is the custom filed empty or not”. I tried using a blank for the “val” but no go I’m afraid. Thanks anyway. I want this, if it is possible, for the “view by popularity” menu option over at TextGarden. At the moment, if you select it, it works fine but at the bottom of the list are a number of styles whose download isn’t hosted on the site. I feel it would be better if they didn’t get listed in this view.

Got it – mdn_if_custom – does it nicely.

Re: upm_file_packets
v0.2.3: withfiles attribute, so you don’t need a second plugin. :)

Re: upm_file_packets
sorry haven’t checked exhaustively but on a 4.0.2 upgrade, clicking ‘attach file’ pops up window with this notice at the top:
Warning: Division by zero in E:\apachefriends\xampp\htdocs\domain\textpattern\lib\txplib_misc.php(455) : eval()'d code on line 258

Re: upm_file_packets
Try upgrading the plugin to the newest version, then try the fix mentioned here.

Re: upm_file_packets
I think I followed that fix correctly… and latest version installed… but same error; will try fresh install later tonight
UPDATE: upgraded another local install from 4.0.1 to 4.0.2 and had no problems with upm_file_packets so the other install must be funky

Re: upm_file_packets
I think there may be a problem here with using <code><txp:upm_article_file_list></code> and <code><txp:comments_invite/></code> together in a form… whichever way I arange them, it will only display the first… Has anyone else come across this?

Re: upm_file_packets
apologies, i was being slack and not closing the tag!
I have another query though…
I’m going to use mp3 files and I want to give the user the option to open it in the browser OR (right/shift click) download it to disc.
So would it be possible to make it write link to the actual file (ie. files/filename.mp3) rather than the downlooad url as is (ie. file_download/1) ?

Re: upm_file_packets
Understand that “file_download/” powers the download counter, so if you don’t use it you can’t count the downloads from that link.
Go to your “files” form and build the link yourself, something like:
<a href="/files/<txp:file_download_name />"><txp:file_download_name /></a>
