Re: Admin plugin: glx_admin_image_resize

I have the same problem, coincidentally I ran into it just last night.

Re: Admin plugin: glx_admin_image_resize

Any ideas for editting the plugin so that the “Resize” button only updates the image and thumbnail stuff, and “Save” only updates the other form fields (Image Name, Alt Text, Category and Caption)? I realize this may not be how everyone wants it set up, but I would certainly prefer it. I can’t sort out a way to modify the code myself to do this.

Re: Admin plugin: glx_admin_image_resize

Dear TXP users and Plugin developers,

I was wondering why there is no function to make thumbnails in a batch, e.g. by selecting a box next to each image on the overview page and then choosing “resize” or something. If you upload 300 images it’s quite frustrating to have to generate a thumbnail for each and any image by hand.

Maybe I overlooked a plugin or feature in glx_admin_image but I couldn’t find how to do this anywere. There have to be more people who are seeking this kind of feature??

Greets and thanx in advance for any reaction or help

Re: Admin plugin: glx_admin_image_resize

@ mattgilbert — i’ve bumped into the same annoying resize/save disparity… not sure it’s intentional. i’m poking around w/ the code and will post a fix when i land one.

Re: Admin plugin: glx_admin_image_resize

I am need of some assistance. This plug in is exactly what I am looking for … I think.

The problem is that I can not get it to completely work. It loads correctly and I have all the requirement in place (ie most recent version of text pattern and GD Version 2.0.28) When I go to import an image I see all the settings, and it does let me resize larger images down and create thumb nails, but:

None of the radio buttons work (width; height; longest side)
the rotate feature does not work (it appears to flicker, but image doesn’t do anything)
I can not scale up (not sure if this is by design)

Please let me know if I am doing something wrong. Also, am I limited to jpgs?

I have not had any problems with any other plug ins so far, so I tend to think it is not my install.

Re: Admin plugin: glx_admin_image_resize

I got some strange redirection-problems after I moved a (perfectly working) site to a new server.
Trying to access the images-page in admin at the url http://example.com/textpattern/index.php?event=image ,
my request is automagically forwarded to http://example.com/textpattern/index.php?event=image&step=image_edit&id=0 , resulting in a
“too many redirects” message.
Everything else is working just fine as i can upload images and create thumbnails in the standard txp interface.

From diagnostics (paths excluded as i know they are good):
PHP versjon: 4.3.10
MySQL: 4.0.23a
Server: Apache/1.3.33 (Unix) mod_ssl/2.8.22 OpenSSL/0.9.7d PHP/4.3.10
Apache versjon: Apache/1.3.33 (Unix) mod_ssl/2.8.22 OpenSSL/0.9.7d PHP/4.3.10
php_sapi_mode: apache
os_version: Linux 2.4.29

The gd version is 2.0.28

I have clean urls configured, and have this in my .htacess:
RewriteEngine On
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} -f [OR]
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} -d
RewriteRule ^(.+) – [PT,L]
RewriteRule ^(.*) index.php

I have cleared cookies and tried logging in form another browser as an other user, but have no clue on fixing this.
My version of the glx_admin_image_resize is 2006.1
If there are any other details needed to help solve this, please let me know.

Re: Admin plugin: glx_admin_image_resize

Hi Patrick, wondering if you intend to update this to work with 4.04?

Cheers, Lee

Re: Admin plugin: glx_admin_image_resize

hi all,

1st: please use this thread for comments and requests on this plugin – its quite complicated to follow all messages ;)
2nd: I use the plugin and will update everything for the actual versions. There will be an update for/with version 4.0.4, I am on it.
3rd: the following featurerequests are on my todo-list: gif and png support (yepp, i know, could have been done for a long time) and separation of the pluginfunctions and the imagefunctions (save, resize as suggested by mattgilbert

<del>i think first will be a compatibility-update for 4.0.4 if its needed. I will check it. </del>
I checked it against the version in http://svn.textpattern.com/development/4.0/ and it works (for me). If you find any problems please report them to me.

and please like i wrote use this thread for comments and requests on this plugin. Or contact me directly.
