yes, for such a major RC, the bug reports seemed quite light, so hopefully…

Yeh, they really did seem to be rather light.

Even so, I’d love to see an official release.

Re: Txp 1.0 RC3 Available

With all my hacks to the comments system, I’d rather not use subversion to constantly update my copy of Textpattern. I’m waiting for a final release, so that I can merge it with my hacks, and leave it at that for a while!

You hAD to bring that up. I was doing so well. Let’s just hope that when he said “I’m going to give it a week…” he meant a week as we know it. Seven days ; )

Now I’m gonna be up all night.

Now you know why I write plugins, rather than hacks.

Re: Txp 1.0 RC3 Available

I have been very pleased with the amount of progress this week. And I don’t see any reason to stop and declare 1.0 complete as long as issues are being discovered.

I would rather wait a little longer than have TXP 1.1 or 1.01 released a week after 1.0 is declared complete.

Yes Michael, you’re quite right. I think we all agree on that. But ya gotta understand… we’re an edgy lot with hair trigger fingers and we like gettin’ the pokin’ sticks out. It’s in our blood 8 )

Zem — zome of your plugins break in RC3. What is you policy on fixing them?

Re: Txp 1.0 RC3 Available

I just installed svn-client on my Mac (Powerbook) so that I could checkout a copy of RC3 and install it on my server. I have to say that it was an easy install. The only thing broken right now is
ats_bloglines
and I’ve already posted about that. I’ll keep watching for bugs, but things seem pretty clean.

I agree with Michael — I’d rather wait for a clean release than have a 1.01 or 1.1 release follow on fast after the 1.0 release.

Great Job! Dean, Zem, and Kusor.
