Re: Users Currently Online

Very elegant solution. I look forward to finding out just how many visitors some of my sites get with a ten minute period.

Update:

The first site I tried it on worked great. The second one with the DoTag error above. I decided it was as good a time as any to upgrade, so I fired up my svn client and got a new install and then sftped it to the site. At that point, path_to_site got wiped out. I fixed that with phpMyAdmin. Switched the plugin back on and still got the doTag error. I pasted in the replacement code and now the plugin returns absolutely nothing.

It works great when it works, though.

Updated again:

I figured out what I was doing wrong. It works now. But I am still at a loss why I have had to apply a patch to the bleeding edge version.

<code><txp:mem_online_users timeout=“3600” /></code> gives me this output:

Re: Users Currently Online

Version 0.2 is posted. It should prevent a few doTag() related bugs from older versions. Also ‘0’ was being treated as false, which resulted in no output, so it will now replace ‘0’ with its html code ‘&amp;#48;’.

Let me know if problems are still being experienced.

Re: Users Currently Online

Hi Alexandra, it’s still working on my site in rc5. Do you have logging set to “All hits”?

Yes, doggiez, i have.

whenever i try to install the plugin i get a browser page saying:

You tried to access the address http://textpattern.kbbu.de/textpattern/index.php, which is currently unavailable. Please make sure that the Web address (URL) is correctly spelled and punctuated, then try reloading the page.

I do not have the slightest idea about it. Other plugins i can install.

Re: Users Currently Online

alexandra, this does not sound like a problem with the plugin, since you are not able to install it yet. What plugins do you have currently have installed? What version of php, apache, etc (a diagnostic dump should provide all of this)?

Re: Users Currently Online

Have you tried to install other plugins since installing RC5? Does anything appear in your apache error logs?
