Wrap Textile Headline

Hallo,

I’ve searched a long time but couldn’t find any solutions. Because no one else seams to have this problem too I think there is something wrong with my installation/config of textpattern.

While using textile, wrapping text inside <li> or <p> just works fine with inserting a hard or soft line-break (ENTR, STRG+ENTR). Textile replaces the linebreak with an <br />. I’ve noticed that I have to delete blank spaces around the break but apart from this everything is fair enough.

Inside textile headlines it won’t work for me (no matter wich one; h1. h2. .h3 … etc.).

I also checked out the textile documentation (http://txstyle.org/). On live preview wrapping inside headlines works fine. My Version of “classTextile.php” is 2.4.3 (seams to be the newest that comes with Textpattern).

Could someone please give me a hint?

Thanks a lot!

Best Regards,
Christian

Re: Wrap Textile Headline

In the first tab of the “Preferences” you have to set “Use Textile”.

In the excerpt and body fields you have to write double line break to produce paragraphs. The same at the beginning of a list.

Re: Wrap Textile Headline

Thanks for the fast reply. “Use Textil” is already set. Also in the current articles options.
Textil is working fine except of wrapping text inside headlines.
More than one line break causes the headline to split into a small piece of headline and a new paragraph.

Maybe someone has manually changed some parts of this textpattern installation to prevent linebreaks within headlines. If you would implement such kind of custom feature – which file you would edit? I’ve already replaced “classTextile.php“ to ensure everything is standard.

Re: Wrap Textile Headline

I’m seeing the same results. My textpattern install does not add the <br /> inside the H1 but the forum and txstyle both do.

The following textile

h1. Line
break

On the forum and txstyle results in

<h1>Line<br />
break</h1>

in textpattern the same textile results in

    <h1>Line
break</h1>

Textpattern version: 4.5.7 (r5900)

Re: Wrap Textile Headline

Addding br tags to headings instead of leaving linebreaks untouched was only introduced in Textile Version 2.5.2 and 3.5.2, but Textpatten 4.5.7 comes with Textile Version 2.4.3.

Re: Wrap Textile Headline

Hey MattD & ax – Thanks a lot!

Just started a poor test to replace the current Textile Class with Version 2.5.2. At least it won’t run out of the box. So I finally place needed line breaks manually with html-tags.
