@jpowelso do you have i all the files etc that you saved a veinal Flat file version of your website? i.e. is there an index.php or index.html feel that yo can load into a browser and have it render the old site?

I have restored Textpattern sites in the past with just this information.

Also have you tried to grab such a file based site by using the wayback machine as bloke suggested?

BICI

Yes, I do have the flat file version of the website, complete with index.php. This was my first time visiting wayback machine. I checked it out this morning and wayback reports that my site was crawled 8 times between 2007 and 2008. I can’t believe my eyes, I was able to view an archived version of the site this morning. Bici, do you think this is something you can handle? If I can get the site restored I would also like to upgrade to the latest version of textpattern.

thanks

if you can grab all the files and the css field etc from payback we should be able to get it back into TxP. We would of course use the most recent version of Textpattern. I have done this for another site a year or so ago.

ps if you provide me with the wayback links i can grab all the files

I also ran the service at recovermywebsite.com and am just waiting on the email.

The textpattern install was in the v2 folder on my website. I have all of the files on an external and can compress them and email to you.
