styles set to default after update

After an update from a somewhat old version of TXP the styles on my website have been set to default.
The style page is still unchanged under presentation>styles, as well as all content published via TXP.
I’ve trying googling this issue and tried a couple of fixes suggested for older versions, without any luck.
Any hints?

Re: styles set to default after update

Looks like there’s not everything arrived on your server during the update, e.g. files from your js folder can’t be called. Make sure you transfer all the files to your server.

Re: styles set to default after update

Thank you for your reply, just realized the css.php file was also missing.
Id followed instructions @ http://www.siteground.com/tutorials/textpattern/textpattern_upgrade.htm
and since everything looked good on the admin side (including my css under presentation>styles), I assumed the upgrade was ok.
By the way, it was still running on 4.0.x.
Again, many thanks for the quick reply, GugUser and uli.

Re: styles set to default after update

PS.

any idea why editing text attributes for section “news”,
on the admin side under presentation>style>tomeduarte

#news { margin-top: 116px; margin-left: 240px; width: 500px;
margin-bottom:80px;
}
.post { margin-bottom: 30px;
border-bottom:1px solid #efefef;
padding-bottom:10px;
}
.post-title { margin-bottom: 0px; font-size: 1.9em; <——-

}
.post-metadata { font-size: 1.1em; <——-

color: #ccc; font-style: italic;
}
.post-body p { font-size: 1.3em; <——-

color: #555; line-height: 1.4em;
}

isn’t changing anything on the website itself – http://tomeduarte.com/news ?

Re: styles set to default after update

That, or you actually want to address .post, the divs nested inside #news. Edit: Ah, I see the arrows now, I focused too much on #news myself ;)
