Re: Rob Sable

The google translation of his website reads

Construction

You want to see the site is currently no default page. Possibility of being upgraded and configuration operations.

Please visit this site again later. If you still have problems, please contact the site administrator.

If you are the site administrator and feel you have received this message in error, please see the IIS Help, “Enabling and Disabling Dynamic Content.”
To access IIS Help

Click Start, and then click Run. In the Open text box, type inetmgr. IIS Manager appears. From the Help menu, click Help Topics. Click Internet Information Services.

So, he might be either in the process of redesigning it or his domain is now owned by somebody else. Without meaning to downgrade the current plugin devs, Rob’s work on plugins are is missed here.

Re: Rob Sable

The domain is still registered to him.

I’ve written to him on email address that worked previously but have not received a reply. I was just a bit concerned.

Cheers

Re: Rob Sable

The domain is still owned by him and the records have been last updated in 2012. Seems that the server just is no longer there and someone else has taken the IP.

Re: Rob Sable

Its seems to be TextDrive/Joyent casualty. What I don’t understand why subdomains under TextDrive resolve to old IP addresses too e.g. bidwell.textdrive.com and why they are letting DNS servers to resolve their customer domains to old IPs. They should direct domains that were on their old servers to some safe landing pages, rather than potentially letting someone random to use the IP and exploit the domains.
