upm_ Plugins

Obviously been out of the loop for a long time. I’d like to make sure my plugins are still viable with the latest stable Txp.

So, to help me speed things along, I am requesting some feedback from folks already using my work. I’d like to know which, if any, plugins are:

  1. no longer necessary (new tag does same thing, etc):
    • upm_category_image
    • upm_comment_time
    • upm_file
    • upm_image
  2. do not function properly (please advise of errors or failed functionality):
    • upm_img_popper
    • upm_savenew

Thanks for any input!

Re: upm_ Plugins

Hi Mary,

I am still using:

  • upm_img_popper
  • upm_savenew

None of which work in the latest txp version

Re: upm_ Plugins

You can probably ease your support task and totally skip the following few even if issues come up:

  • upm_category_image
  • upm_comment_time
  • upm_file
  • upm_image

You could probably safely announce those as dropped and replaced by built in tags, unless you want to develop those still, of course. It’s strange how much more you could do when tags-in-tags feature was introduced back in the day.

If you want to get updated those that people use, you probably should direct any time you can spare to plugins Yiannis mentioned. Rest I wouldn’t worry as much.

Re: upm_ Plugins

Yep, upm_insert_tab is usually the first plugin I install! :-)
