Second Hand Car Site

Still some finishing touches to apply but this is a second hand car sales site. No bargains though. What do you think?

Re: Second Hand Car Site

Very classy – both the cars and the site.

The color choice on the individual car pages (“Enquire about this car
Name,” “How to use the Gallery” and “How to use the Gallery”) seems a bit to bright and unrelated to the site’s overall color scheme, though.

I’ve expected a clickable link on the car’s thumbnails at the brand list pages (e.g. http://omniumcars.com/cars/?c=Delahaye).

Joe. I accept donation. Do you export to France ? In that case, you can send me a car :)

This one is sold: this is unfortunate.

Thanks for the input Robert. You are right, of course, about the fluorescent green and orange being out of place in the scheme of things. It had more to do with appeasing one of the clients who had never seen thumbnail galleries before and became quite animated about making instructions for its use very obvious and very clear. I have modified the colours now to more harmonious hues and when he complained I blamed it on you.

Too bad about the Alfa, Patrick. Choose another one, imagine pulling up for work in this. Your colleagues would be aware of your arrival and probably would be quite impressed.

Re: Second Hand Car Site

Beautiful site an beautiful cars.

The thumbnail galleries don’t work in IE8 (if you care). They’re all squished together.

I wouldn’t be suprised to see similar cars in my neck of the woods this week. Exciting!

Thanks Matt, I hadn’t noticed the IE8 problem, tested it in IE9 and IE7, I guess but not that. I do care a bit and will do something about it, though I haven’t a clue what at the moment.

Lucky you being on the doorstep of all those cars in Monterey this week. I will be interested to see what Lot 106, page 20 of the RM Auctions catalogue, sells for. I had one of these, same year, umpteenth hand in 1964 and sold it for spares in ’65.

I would rather have the ’69. I would give my left testicle for the ’69. Oh hell, I would even give my right testicle, or seller’s choice. Do they take testicles?

I am a big fan of simple elegance. Your presentation is that in spades. The only thing I would ask is for larger images.
