Re: [Solved ]"Sticky" excerpt + article list at the same time

I’d use <txp:hide>..</txp:hide> to wrap around and remove each output_form one at a time in tmpl-opener and tmpl-closer until you can isolate which form is causing the problem.

Re: [Solved ]"Sticky" excerpt + article list at the same time

Oh for frucks sake! Thanks to Els in home stretch (and pulling my head out of arse), the tag trace revealed the problem, a plugin: gbp_permanent_links. Turned that off and boom! … the beast behaves.

For the record, this is a complete rebuild of my site, and the content ROT and plugin detritus is flying.

Sorry to waste everyone’s time, but I do thank you immensely.

Woohoo – good start to the day :)

unlike my bad end to the day where I just wrote one of my largest threads ever…. then closed the window before posting for absolutely no apparent, sane reason!!

Re: [Solved ]"Sticky" excerpt + article list at the same time

Good to know you solved it, Destry. I had some slightly WTF moments trying to figure out what could be wrong with code.

I even suspected that this could be something related to gbp_permanent_links, as I recall it sometimes having a “false positive” on section lists, being intepreted/rendered as individual article context.
By chance, was the article URL title (i.e. about-us) exactly the same as the section name (i.e. /about-us)?
I recall this one situation (article url title == section name) triggering the “false positive” I referred.
