Re: Alternate TXP logo, just for fun

Oooooo ! The golden-hammer. Nice touch. Really polishes it. I like the second one best; just the gilded hammer. And the centered icon does look good. I’m canning that image of mine. :)

Haven’t seen the mail yet, but my mail server’s been kind of sluggish the last two days anyway. We’ll give it some time.

Kevin – I don’t know if it’s me but those 2 images look the same?? I do like the golden hammer touch.

the only difference is in the stroke the one on top has a bit of yellow in it. doesnt really do anything for it though.

Re: Alternate TXP logo, just for fun

Kevin, my contact form behaves like it’s working but I’ve ran a few tests and I’m definitely not getting messages. Looks like I need to finally make the jump to zcr. :)

I assume you wrote to either send the ico file, or tell me it doesn’t hold up that small. Hit me at destry dot wion on gmail if it’s the former. :)

Ed. Turned on my forum contact too (didn’t realize it was off).

Well heres couple more variants:

I thought about it more and Textpattern is better represented by the hammer than what the man is creating with his chisel.

Destry I sent an email message from your site.

I love these! Takes the clutter out of the old logo, but still keeps the basic theme. Looks so much more professional.

Re: Alternate TXP logo, just for fun

Maybe a little clean-up though. (aka. smoother lines)

Re: Alternate TXP logo, just for fun

Not sure if this is still relevant, but I fiddled some with the logo. I like the chiseller, too and only cleaned up the stone part a bit, as well as changed a font, but this certainly needs more work (I did this in Inkscape and there I have a bit of a hard time getting letter spacing right.) Anyway..

It’s a pity to see so many broken links/images missing in this interesting thread… :|

And some links that you follow from viewing the source of the forum’s rendered page are porn sites now.

The only way for the attachments to live on is if the forum allow uploads, but then you get into the case of managing all those assets, though with cloud storage nowadays that wouldn’t be such an issue.

Don’t think FluxxBB has the option to upload images to a designated directory. Can’t find that option in the admin panel. :(
