on shared accelerators the Txp file_download tag does not actually work

Actually, I think it does not work for streaming files, i.e, there’s some problem getting the end file size. But straight downloads using the file_download tag are working on this page, on Shared (Bridgeway).

Reid – it’s not a streaming thing. I do what you do. It’s straight downloads using the file_download tag, but problem manifests itself more frequently with larger files

Grabbing an mp3 from your page also shows “unknown file size”… and in fact, my second download failed “sweEtunFancy.mp3”

Re: [feedback] Textdrive, Joyent - same deal, different provider

PS just want to make clear, not bashing on Textdrive – couldn’t be more appreciative for what I’ve got and learnt out of a small investment many years ago!! but DECLARATION OF INTEREST: yeah would like this issue resolved ; ) we all have self-interest as part of our make-up, good to declare it upfront

Doh! I stand corrected. I knew about the “unknown file size” but had not seen a download failure.

I got fed up with Trac, so I updated it, myself.

Wish I could help out Mary, but I usually install system packages with apt-get and they just work.

Any word on the Wiki issue, did Apache get restarted?

No word yet and the problem appears to still be there. I’ll try to send Filip another note today. I’m trying to balance not letting him forget but also not being a nuisance.
