Re: [plugin] [ORPHAN] sed_section_fields

Thanks Steve. I’ll have a good look at it when you send it over, but remember that for my own personal use I don’t really require the “per article” usage. That was something added by another user. For the bombsite I only require “per section” usage to allow me to keep 2 sections permanently open whilst restricting the weblog section to a time limit which then led me to think that it might be a useful feature for others which further led me to think that the “Sections” tab would be a good place for it to go.

Re: [plugin] [ORPHAN] sed_section_fields

Stuart

You should have email with all that’s needed. Please let me know how it goes (via email).

Not to worry about per-article settings. They aren’t used unless you specifically set them up anyway.

Nothing received yet Steve. Could you re-send just in case I’ve spammed it please? :)

Re: [plugin] [ORPHAN] sed_section_fields

Anyway to implement a global Hide all / Show All option?

Are the values for these options stored in the Db?

If not how are they stored?

Nice Plugin

Thank you

Geoff

Re: [plugin] [ORPHAN] sed_section_fields

Steve, why don’t you split the plugin into sed_section_fields and sed_pretty_section_view (or something like that…)?

Re: [plugin] [ORPHAN] sed_section_fields

Geoff

just look in the global $prefs and you should see an entry for each section. Or look in the txp_prefs table if you are doing it with SQL.

Christian

Hmmm. That’s possible — though I won’t be doing it right away as I’m busy with the MLP pack at the moment. Thanks for the idea.

Re: [plugin] [ORPHAN] sed_section_fields

I love this plugin. Thanks Steve.

I do spend a lot of time cycling through all my sections and setting Most of my custom fields off. So I’d support any idea, where a standard site-wide default could be set. You could include a “default” or “custom” setting per section. Default might hide all the fields and on/off settings and apply the default, while “custom” would show and adhere to the settings.

Just an idea. Sporadic shuffling through section settings during site build is a pretty good trade-off for the awesome function of this plugin.

Re: [plugin] [ORPHAN] sed_section_fields

I’ve used this plugin before with no problems, but I’m having an issue on an IIS setup. Here’s what I get when trying to access my sections:

PHP Notice: Undefined index: cf in D:\InetPub\dittocondo\textpattern\lib\txplib_misc.php(574) : eval()'d code on line 210
PHP Notice: Undefined index: ss in D:\InetPub\dittocondo\textpattern\lib\txplib_misc.php(574) : eval()'d code on line 241
PHP Notice: Undefined index: cf in D:\InetPub\dittocondo\textpattern\lib\txplib_misc.php(574) : eval()'d code on line 210
PHP Notice: Undefined index: ss in D:\InetPub\dittocondo\textpattern\lib\txplib_misc.php(574) : eval()'d code on line 241
PHP Notice: Undefined index: cf in D:\InetPub\dittocondo\textpattern\lib\txplib_misc.php(574) : eval()'d code on line 210
PHP Notice: Undefined index: ss in D:\InetPub\dittocondo\textpattern\lib\txplib_misc.php(574) : eval()'d code on line 241

I am using glz_custom_fields, but I get the same error when it’s turned off. The IIS server is the only difference I can think of — it’s worked fine on Linux. Any thoughts?

Thanks,
Addison

Hello. What version of the plugin are you having a problem with?

Re: [plugin] [ORPHAN] sed_section_fields

Hi, Steve.

sed_section_fields 0.3.138
sed_plugin_library 0.4.154

Just so you know, this isn’t life or death, but I’d like to figure it out — it’s a killer plugin.

Also, I do not have FTP access.

Thanks,
Addison

Do you still get the same problem with the latest beta?
