Version 0.4 of the plugin should work on a recent 4.0.x SVN revision (yes, I’ve tested it ;)
Crockery is not near a release so I’m not writing plugins for it.

Thanks for the plugin and for the clarification. I’ll try again with my site, but it seems to always give a 503 message with 0.4.
Should I try removing all cookies, logging off and back in or something too?

It was just a matter of clearing the old cookies and logging in again.
It works except not with asy_dashboard.
You login and get the normal admin tabs at the top, but the 503 error message right below. The tabs work and you can see the other screens just fine.
Disable asy_dashboard and the 503 message upon login goes away and it works as expected.
Just FYI… This didn’t happen with the 0.3 version.

I can’t get it to work anymore. Using TXP 4.0.5 and plugin version 0.3. I’ve tried everything, cleared the cache, deleted the cookies, logged out and in again, all this in every order I could think of. I keep getting the 503 page :(
I’m using Firefox (Linux), the same happens in Konqueror.

On a brand new untouched install of 4.05 I get these error messages at the top of the public page:
Warning: tag does not exist in /users/home/domains/website.com/web/public/textpattern/publish.php on line 973

Then below:
503 Service Unavailable
Site maintenance in progress. Please check back later.

Just for your information Ruud, version 0.3 works fine for me with an SVN install and FF/ PC. I have no idea why Matthew was having a problem with it. Maybe Safari/Mac?

Wondering if there is any chance of getting this to work with mac/safari? I only ever get the maintenance page when logged in.
Thanks very much

Els, I use Firefox/Linux. Works fine for me. The important part, especially with v0.3 (v0.4 is less strict, but requires TXP 4.0.6), is that you have to click the “view website” tab on the TXP admin side to view your website… or otherwise load the TXP website in the same browser session where you’re logged in on the TXP admin side, otherwise you will get the 503 error. Simply having two separate browser windows open, one for the admin side and one for the public side, will not work.
Lee, try Firefox.
If it’s not working, please check in your browser if the ‘rvm_maintenance’ cookie is set and if so, how many of such cookies are set. There should be only one. If there’s more than one, clear them all, and visit a tab on the admin side. Logging out/in is not needed.
