Re: aro_slideshow v2

rloaderro:

Thanks for the great plug in. I have used the previous version and it works like a charm.

With the new version, I am getting some odd behaviour. When I have the plug in running (it works fine) but it has a bottom margin of about 47 pixels. I noticed this because of the space (gap) between the image (plug in) and my other elements that I have appearing below that area.

If I remove the plug in and place either a static image or text in its place everythign works like a charm.

I atempted to set the plug in’s height and width and it still caused the same problem. The reason I know the pixel dimensions, is that I kept on adjusting the plug in’s height until it worked.

Am I missing something? Any asistance would be greatly appreciated.

PS: I am not using captions, although if I had to guess it is leaving an area just in case I decide to (if that makes any sense).

Thanks.

I seem to remember that the plugin has a bug that creates the caption element even if there are no captions. I am 100% sure this can be resolved with CSS though – try setting:

div.slideshow p { display: none }

This might be mentioned previously in this thread as well.

Re: aro_slideshow v2

Hi, just wanted to say I’m love with your slideshow. For all intensive purposes I’m trying to keep the timer/duration from attempting to go to the next slide so that navagation is left up to the user with the Thumbnails. Applying the Duration: [500] keeps its from sliding, but the hour glass is still attempting to slide. Is there a way/hack to stop this?

Thanks,
Joseph

Re: aro_slideshow v2

I’ve had nothing but trouble trying to get a similar slideshow effect working in Safari 2.x (albeit with different JavaScript). Is it possible to use aro_slideshow to produce a slideshow of images that link somewhere?

The other thread I’ve linked to can give you some idea of what I’m talking about.

That’s similar, except that it would need to use a different link for each image. I managed to get the animation I was already using to work in Safari, though, so I won’t be needing to use this plugin after all. I’ll definitely keep it in mind for the future, however.

Re: aro_slideshow v2

I want to put two slideshows (with images from a different category) on the same page. But if I do so, I get two ‘wrapping’ DIV’s with the same ID (slideshow0). Is there a possibility to give them a different name (eg. ‘slideshow1’ and ‘slideshow2’)?

Is it possible to have more then one slideshow on the same page at all?

Re: aro_slideshow v2

I have read all 10 pages I can’t seem to find anything on creating links from your images.

I have been trying to figure out how I can add links to my pictures.
So when image 1 is showing if you mouse over it there will be a link (http://www.mysite.com/link1.html)
And if image 2 is showing and you mouse over it there is a different link (http://www.mysite.com/link2.html)

Is there anyway this can be done?

Thanks for your help.

Re: aro_slideshow v2

Hi,
I would like to not have the slideshow be “automatic” and just have the slides change only when I click a thumbnail.. how do I do this?

Matt

Re: aro_slideshow v2

Any chance there might be a way to make the images in a category load randomly instead of in the same order every time?
