Re: Thinking about building an e-commerce plugin...

No sweat,

I’ll read a the thread a little closer and see if I can find it.

Update
Found it! Buried a little bit.

In case anyone else needs it…

To get product categories working create a root-level article category named: “Products”. Any sub category of ‘Products’ will appear in the product drop-down and save fine. This is something that I will absolutely update in the next release.

Re: Thinking about building an e-commerce plugin...

Any thoughts about adding Hakjoon’s Hak_tinyMCE to the product description area?
This may have been discussed already…but I didn’t see it anywhere.

I was entering some test products and realized how much I miss it….Especially for product descriptions that have lists.

Just a thought.

This plugin is in development and based on the developers discretionary time. So although there’s no shopping cart built yet, there may soon be one. A donation might spur on a_band, he does excellent work. But he’s also busy.

So stay tuned.

Re: Thinking about building an e-commerce plugin...

If 100 USD donation would make the plugin development process faster I’m more than happy to support (more info, send me an email).

Textpattern with shopping cart capability is a powerful thing!

Re: the problem that some of us are appearing to have with the size of this plugin under Mysql 5.x – I wonder if this post in the Zem Contact Reborn thread about using compressed plugins would help?

Any thoughts anyone?

Re: Thinking about building an e-commerce plugin...

Levi,

I’m starving for an update.

I’ve gnawed off part of my own leg…and my arm is starting to look like a cartoon turkey leg.
I don’t know if this has anything to do with Textcommerce? Maybe I’ve just gone mad.

)

Save me.

Re: Thinking about building an e-commerce plugin...

Wow, I just ran across this thread today on an ‘ecommerce’ search on the forums, and I’m amazed at how much work is being done. Great Job Levi, I’m gonna go sell some old stuff at a garage sale this weekend and a donation will be upcoming!

Re: Thinking about building an e-commerce plugin...

Hello all,

What have people been using when wanting to integrate a shopping cart system with textpattern?

This plugin looks very promising as it beats messing around with Zen Cart for days and days!

Over at ExpressionEngine they have a Simple Commerce Module but it relies on PayPal much like this plugin.

This plugin states ‘A PayPal checkout system’ is in the pipeline. Will this allow PayPal Pro? I hate it when customers of shopping sites are forced to enter details in a ‘PayPal’ browser window that appears externally using the standard account.

Will there be a solution where everything occurs smoothly on the same site?

Thanks,
