Re: MLP - The Multi-Lingual Publishing Pack

I have massive amount of articles. Is there possibility in the future to search original article for cloning like is in the renditions tab? Even just Id or title-text would be very handy.

Re: MLP - The Multi-Lingual Publishing Pack

Hey guys, wondering what was the solution for the uninstallable l10n.txt plugin? I’m having the same issue (Badly formed or empty plugin code) and reading though the forum, I can’t quite figure out what was the conclusion you guys came to…

I tried pasting it in a txp article and it doesn’t show up. What gives? And how do I solve this? (I’m not a MySQL power-user)

??

Re: MLP - The Multi-Lingual Publishing Pack

Steve just send me a compressed version of the code, it worked.
You have to wait for Steve to send it to you as soon as the compressed version is added directly to the download area.

ciao! :-)

All

just back from a trip abroad so sorry for the delay in replying to this.

I just posted the compressed version of the plugin on the Pack’s homepage for anyone experiencing Edemay’s syndrome.

Hi Ultramega,

Yes, that sounds like a good idea. Consider it added to the feature request list — but let it be known that I am not, currently, working on this.

Ultramega

I’m working on your feature request now.

All

I’m also making the snippet > search optionally target only the publicly available strings — should help prevent the selection of admin-only strings as snippets in your pages and forms.

Re: MLP - The Multi-Lingual Publishing Pack

All

Collect the latest release from the pack’s homepage

Thanks to Ultramega’s request, this version adds a ‘clone by id’ preference to the MLP > Preferences. Set that to “yes” and you’ll then get an extra form at the top of the articles table that allows you to enter any valid rendition id and start the cloning process as soon as you hit the “go” button.

It also adds a ‘limit search to public strings’ option. Setting this to “yes” will make the snippet > search tab do its searches only against publicly available strings. This means you won’t waste time using the search feature to choose strings for your pages/forms that cannot be displayed on the public interface.

Upgrade instructions here.

Note: this version includes several updated and new strings. If they don’t appear as they should on your installation, please feedback here.

Edited to add: This is the first build to include the l10n.txt plugin in compressed format by default.

Patrick

One question before I give an answer…

Do you want to run a tri-lingual site with the MLP pack or are you wanting three translations of the ZCR strings for three mono-lingual sites?

I have deleted the plugin files and installed them again and I also updated all my templates. Problem seems to be fixed.
However there is still a blank line before my doctype but it is not causing any validation errors.

(I was editing my post at the same time as you were posting a reply in the other thread)

Ok, is that on a public facing website? If so can I wget the page and try searching the sources for the byte pattern that’s appearing on the first line?

Also, if you have the inclination, you could try the exercise I suggested in the other thread to try and eliminate plugin compression as the culprit.

Many thanks,

Steve
