which is the lastest version supported by MLP ? Is it findable in the github repository ?

Not on Github, no. 4.5.x development is still on Google Code’s SVN in the usual slot. Txp 4.5.7 will work fine with my Git MLP version and the associated compiled plugins. Won’t work with yab_shop yet because of unresolved issues, btw.

Quite interested in your vision for the “multi-lingual-ness”. Willing to put some thought in it if I can handle it.

Drop me a mail sometime and I’ll send you back a missive I wrote a few weeks ago. As I say, I don’t think it’s that tricky. Just needs caffeine.

I was planning to ask you this, but you beat me to it. Are there any expected dangers or anything to be cautious about while upgrading a site to Txp 4.5.7, beyond the normal MLP upgrade instructions?

Thank you Stef, for your immense dedication and support!

Nope, nothing’s changed that much in Txp in the last few releases that affects MLP. I have a 4.5.7 running fine with it and haven’t spotted any issues so far.

Usual precautions apply though: backup, backup, and backup again. Because computers and programmers can’t be trusted.

My bad :) I cloned the github repo …
Restarted with the google SVN. Upgrading is going forward. Now stuck with another error :
Undefined index: l10n_l10n-url_default_lang_marker on line 460 _l10n_textpattern_comment_submit()
May be related to the fact that is I tried to run the wizard as I understood in you readme from github but dropping all the l10n tables did not seemed a good option.

Do you mean the compiled plugin? Have you tried the ones from this post? I’m pretty sure the docs are in there, but let me know if I’ve missed anything.

Stef, I install the files on an other site and now the help is there. Thanks …
On our actual site, the plugin was installed by the students and … I need to double check …

Re: MLP - The Multi-Lingual Publishing Pack

Today, it becomes difficult to find a latest version of a plugin for textpattern…

…Or not, the first post has been updated to point to bloke github depot.

Re: MLP - The Multi-Lingual Publishing Pack

Hello,
I need to update the MLP plugin to the latest version on a production site (txp 4.5.4), due to the “Could not save article” issue.
What’s the best way to update? I guess I download the plugin here and remove the old/overwrite/uninstall?

Thanks for any suggestion

Backup first, then grab the Github zip package, download the two plugins you mentioned, install them and overwrite the remainder of the files from the zip package. That should do the trick.

Re: MLP - The Multi-Lingual Publishing Pack

Hello,
I updated to the last version and some inconsistencies are popping up, here listed for clarity

  • two articles on the frontend which I can’t locate in the admin side
  • clicking on one article filed under /news section brings to the /products section
  • a lot of red table cells having “section mismatch” alert popped up in the mlp article list, which I don’t know how to fix

Note: I have set the /title only url pattern, at the moment. I could fix the second issue setting the pattern as /section/title, but in the menu I have some links like

<txp:permlink id="6">Azienda</txp:permlink>

which renders awfully as www.mywebsite.it/azienda/azienda

Thanks for any suggestion

And re-save MLP’s preferences. You’ll have to do it after clean install too, because the actual wizard doesn’t create correct preference strings.
