Re: Ebl_batchupload

I am working on an updated version that I hope will address some of the problems that have been encountered, and I’m hoping that I should be able to release it in the next two weeks.

I have been unable to fix the 412 error message, and it seems that it is the result of an issue with flash itself. Why it worked previous to the most recent version? I have no earthly clue. It seems that an .htaccess disabling mod-security for that directory is required.

Re: Ebl_batchupload

Hi Eric,

I encountered a 406 error with the plugin on a different server, which I overcame by turning off mod_security in .htaccess. Not sure this is a good idea though!

I followed this link, after a search for 406 on the TXP forums:

Re: Ebl_batchupload

Hi Eric, please will you symbiosis batchupload with mlp pack ? Because, when ebl_batchupload plugin is activate, then alt and caption for image doesn´t work. Data are insert into wrong column – to the caption instead of l10n_caption_LANG

I don’t plan on rewriting the plugin to work work with MLP unless it becomes part of the core of TXP, especially because of a plugin that eschews the default TXP setup in favour of its own.

Language support is coming in the next version, but will be a flat xml-file that will need to be uploaded to the webserver, until then, the flash source is available and you can freely change the text.

Re: Ebl_batchupload

It’ll be available for download again once I’ve completed my transition from TXP to Expression Engine. Shouldn’t be longer than another week.

Re: Ebl_batchupload

The latest version is nearing completion (along with my EE powered website.) Localization is almost complete, and several bugs have been squashed.

Below is the default language file.

<lang>
 <upload>Upload</upload>
 <resize>Resize?</resize>
 <resizehelp></resizehelp>
 <makethumb>Generate Thumbnail?</makethumb>
 <makethumbhelp></makethumbhelp>
 <height>Height</height>
 <Width>Width</width>
 <maximgsize>Max image size</maximgsize>
 <selectfile>Select Files</selectile>
 <resetfile>Reset</resetfile>
 <cancel>Cancel</cancel>
 <assigncat>Assign to category</assigncat>
 <assigncathelp></assigncathelp>
 <assigncatnote>Select or input a new category</assigncatnote>
 <debug>Debug?</debug>
<nourl>Textpattern is not passing needed URL parameters to the

upload script. This plugin will not function without these

variables. </nourl>
</lang>

Re: Ebl_batchupload

Note: I’m considering changing the license for the newest version and asking a $5.00 per domain fee for download.

Of course, those original contributers to the original ransom would always have the most up to date version for no cost, plus any modifications that they may want (colors, layout, features, etc)

Since this plugin has been released, I’ve had over 1,200 downloads from my website. What if I had originally asked $5.00 per download … As one who has a significant amount of student-loan debt, I’ve begun considering what changing the licensing would do.

Re: Ebl_batchupload

The localization is complete. I won’t be creating individual language files as that can be a bit too complicated, but all text is inclosed in an xml file that is read by the flash plugin that can easily be changed by those needing a language other than english.

Also, I do believe the 406 bugs have been squashed. I’ll need more testing to verify this.
