Re: Site structure with crossing information blocks

lamda,

I tried using your hack, but I did everything step by step, and I keep getting an error like this:

“Parse error: parse error, unexpected T_STRING in /var/www/html/Newchat/textpattern/include/txp_article.php on line 517”

Its obviously resulting from the last step. I put the last chunk of code right above the author comment, but still getting error.

Is there something I’m missing? Are there any other ways to add custom text fields to textpattern? A plugin?

Any help, would be appreciated.

Re: Site structure with crossing information blocks

Hello all.

This is quite an old thread – but trying to implement now.

Quick questions:

  • Is there a way to have “convert linebreaks” for the new excerpt field?
how do you call this new excerpt field in a page?

I tried using the regular @<txp:custom_field name=“info” />
with no luck.

Re: Site structure with crossing information blocks

update

For anyone that stumbles across this and is converting custom fields to additional excerpts.

Use upm_textile to wrap the output.

Thanks Jon-Michael
