Sencer,

were your questions just curiosity, or related to the issue at hand?

Re: Commenting not working properly - URL is broken

I am trying to understand if there is kind of system to IIS madness, or if it just changes randomly. So far I have come across at least 3 “fixes” each of which only works in some circumstances. THe temporary fix we have in place, is already meant to work CGI environments, so I was expecting you were running ISAPI. But given that you’re not, it maybe related to the version of IIS.

Re: Commenting not working properly - URL is broken

So there is something in the product already that should have stopped this from happening?

If I can be of any help in any sort of testing just let me know…

Re: Commenting not working properly - URL is broken

Yes, there is. I quotes the code above in my post:

http://forum.textpattern.com/viewtopic.php?pid=92102#p92102

I added your suggestion as well, it’s in the current release 4.0.3 for those people where the other workaround doesn’t help.

Re: Commenting not working properly - URL is broken

I am puzzled – this is already included in 4.0.3…

edit: Actually I have a suspicion why it may not work – though I am still puzzled why your problem only appeared after the upgrade to 4.0.3 – what version were you coming from?

Re: Commenting not working properly - URL is broken

Can one of you guys do me a favor and try replacing publish.php with this:

http://dev.textpattern.com/file/development/4.0/textpattern/publish.php?rev=1212&format=raw

unmodified, without any further fixes, and tell me if it works. Thanks. :)

edit:fixed link.

Re: Commenting not working properly - URL is broken

SENCER:

-No, it generates this:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_VARIABLE in —-mypath——\textpattern\publish.php on line 226

I upgraded from 4.0.2

Re: Commenting not working properly - URL is broken

Yeah, I edited my above post and the link, but you must have snatched the file before that. Parse-error was an error on my part, it’s fixed now, if you re-download from the link above.

Re: Commenting not working properly - URL is broken

Sencer,

I was a new install, not an upgrade. I can try the file tomorrow on my work computer though.

Re: Commenting not working properly - URL is broken

Are you shure you fixed it?

Still:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_VARIABLE in …mypath…\textpattern\publish.php on line 226
