Re: [plugin] [ORPHAN] sdr_guestbook v4.0 (as in comp. with 4.0.1)

Another one here trying to use this plugin with glx_gravatar and ajw_if_comment_owner without good results. It would be great to make it work with both plugins!

Any idea?

Thx

Note: A friend of mine asked me if it’s possible to add the guest’s country, I’m not sure, what do you think?

I would love to have a possibility to show guests country! That is actually the only reason why my “personal homepage”-> link runs still with Wordpress instead of Textpattern.

There is a plugin called IP 2 Nation that retrieves the country name of the visitor, guessed from its IP

I deleted my latest post in this topic about error report ´cause seems that there was no error after all. Something just went bit messed with upgrade to 4.0.3.

One thing though, how can I define style for comments? Page numbering and actual comments are now quite heavily aligned to right so there is big margin on the left.

I´m using
<code>#navlist li
{
display: inline;
list-style-type: none;
padding-right: 4px;
margin-left: 0px;
}</code>

to style paging. Should I define with css that <code><ol id=“commentsid”></code> which can be seen in the source or what should I do and how?

Hi, I’m getting an out of memory error if I activate your plugin. Have others experienced this in the past?
thx in advance,
Florian

Re: [plugin] [ORPHAN] sdr_guestbook v4.0 (as in comp. with 4.0.1)

I am having trouble with the answer message to a post. When I installed the guestbook it worked all right first. After sending an entry it said, something like: “please wait until we accept your post”. Then I worked on the txp-page for the guestbook – cause I had two entries (the Guestbook and an ordinary article called Guestbook). I figured out how to get rid of the article but now it doesn`t give me the “please wait” message anymore. (Though the post shows at the admin-commentssections). Can you help me?

Did you set ‘moderate comments’ to ‘no’ (in admin > preferences)? If so, comments are displayed right after posting and a ‘please wait’ message is not displayed. As far as I know this setting goes for all comments, including sdr_guestbook.

Anyone know if this nice plugin works on a subdomain like http://en.mydomain.com using 4.03?

Thanks, Lee

Hello happy people,

<code>tag_error <txp:sdr_guestbook section=“Guestbook” articletitle=“guestbook” pagelimit=“10” /> ->  Notice: Undefined variable: pagestring_placement  on line 212
tag_error <txp:sdr_guestbook section=“Guestbook” articletitle=“guestbook” pagelimit=“10” /> ->  Notice: Undefined variable: pagestring_placement  on line 213
tag_error <txp:sdr_guestbook section=“Guestbook” articletitle=“guestbook” pagelimit=“10” /> ->  Notice: Undefined variable: pagestring_placement  on line 215
tag_error <txp:sdr_guestbook section=“Guestbook” articletitle=“guestbook” pagelimit=“10” /> ->  Notice: Undefined variable: pagestring_placement  on line 216
tag_error <txp:sdr_guestbook section=“Guestbook” articletitle=“guestbook” pagelimit=“10” /> ->  Notice: Undefined variable: out  on line 223</code>
Here the sample code of my page:
<code>
<div id=“post”> <txp:sdr_guestbook section=“Guestbook” articletitle=“guestbook” pagelimit=“10” /> <txp:if_comments_allowed> <txp:comments_form /> </txp:if_comments_allowed> <txp:comments /> </div>
</code>

Did I miss something important? Am I dumb? Please help.
