Re: [plugin] [ORPHAN] ako_ifBrowser

Sure, it works for that, I was just concerned as the list of browsers this allows for doesn’t cover all the possibilities. The problem only occurs when browser sniffing test for a user agent, doesn’t recognise it, and assumes its an old incapable browser. If you’re targeting specifics like IE 5 however, there’s no problem! Sorry!

@import isn’t a hack though! ;o)

Re: [plugin] [ORPHAN] ako_ifBrowser

Take your point about @import not being a hack – true enough :)

How is the weather over there – is that rain set in?? The only reason I’m looking at these posts at 2am in the morning Australian time is due to the cricket… (good luck btw)

Re: [plugin] [ORPHAN] ako_ifBrowser

@doggiez: Sorry about that, I’m moving my site over to a new server (I signed up with TxD (VC3)), so things might still be a bit rough as I go through and fix everything. Buit anyways, the download link should be fixed.

Re: [plugin] [ORPHAN] ako_ifBrowser

Probably a dumb question, but what would I want to tell a bot (checkfor=“bt”)?

Re: [plugin] [ORPHAN] ako_ifBrowser

Uhm, I’m not truly sure…

I suppose, if you were a bad person, you could feed the bots a whole lot of key words and the such to improve your page rank or something like that. But then, that would make you a bad bad person.

Re: [plugin] [ORPHAN] ako_ifBrowser

This is a very nice plugin and once your paypal account is set up I certainly will donate…

In the meantime, the download link (http://textpattern.org/pub/txp_resources/download.php?file=ako_ifBrowser.txt) is not working… Could you fix this ?

Thanks :-)

Re: [plugin] [ORPHAN] ako_ifBrowser

Heh, thanks.

And the download issue is that I mstakenly forgot to type in my domain on the textpattern.org page, so it was looking for the plugin on that server instead of my server. This should work for you.

Re: [plugin] [ORPHAN] ako_ifBrowser

Ok thanks… I managed to get it : it’s just that you have to download “download.php”, and rename it afterwards…

But it works, and it’s great Thanks !!!
