[fi-fi]
What are your thoughts about how Textpattern handles special character as å, ä, ö in autogenerated URL-titles?
At the moment they are converted like this:
å – (nothing)
ä – ae
ö – oe
Å – A
Ö – Oe
Ä – A
It seems that there is some inconsistencies. Official way of doint that would ö-oe, ä-ae, etc.
I would prefer this:
å – a
ä – a
ö – o
Å – A
Ö – Ö
Ä – Ä
What do you think?

Re: [fi-fi]
Ok, now there’s override values in i18n-ascii.txt with the following:
- language-specific overrides
[fi-fi]
ä = "a"
ö = "o"
Ä = "A"
Ö = "O"

Re: [fi-fi]
How about instead:
‘a’
‘o’
‘A’
‘O’
and for å perhaps
[degree symbol]a

Re: [fi-fi]
[degree symbol]a ??
I don’t have any opinion regarding to “å” since I don’t use it..
Anyway, now there is possibility to make language-specific exceptions.
